Hello Glam readers! I hope you had a lovely, relaxing long weekend filled with fun and family!
We have no family here so, sometimes these longer holiday weekends can be challenging. Yesterday, my little family came with me to search for more furniture to refinish. I actually spent a lot of the weekend shopping for new inventory. I'm still working on adding a "shop" tab to the blog for that. Currently, most of the larger furniture items are sold locally through Apartment Therapy/Krrb.
I can't wait to show you all of those! Some of them need some work, and other are just beautiful vintage pieces in excellent condition!
I thought you might like a sneak peek at some progress I'm making on the Jane Austen Project.
You may remember from the design board, that my client was needing a hutch for the room that would be utilized as a bookcase. After a bit of hunting, I found a great piece!
Doesn't it have beautiful lines!? It's a HUGE piece and it took waaay longer than I anticipated, but it's turning out beautifully, I can't wait to show you more! The room has been painted the bookcases have been refinished and are installed. The rug was ordered and delivered. We have an accent chair in place and we've refinished a desk for the room as well! Whew! Next I need to find a some chairs to refinish for the table and the desk chair has to be refinished and the gallery wall has to be installed. It really looks like a completely different room and best of all, my clients love the way it's turning out!
I mentioned this weekend was spent working on inventory. I have about 9 new furniture pieces and I have some great smaller items that will be up for sale soon as well.
Vintage Dorothy Thorpe Silver Fade Glassware, Set of Six
Mid Century Paper Mache Plates/Trays. Set of Four.
Vintage Brass Swan Bookends.
Vintage Peacock Planters/Vases. Set of Two.
Tomorrow, I'll be sharing some of the furniture. I found an AMAZING set of quatrefoil tables and after hours of research, I can't seem to find anything on them. I thought maybe if I shared them with you, one of you fantastic readers might have some info.
Last, but certainly not least, my sweet friend Brandy found a mirror that was on my wish list and got it for me!!!!! I'm so excited about it!
I'm so very ecstatic over it!!! I've been looking for one for a while. I'm thinking of doing a project with mirrors in the study and this will be the perfect addition!
How about you? Did you have a great, long weekend?
Any treasure hunting?
I would love to hear about it!
Please come back tomorrow to check out the quatrefoil tables, I'm hoping someone might know something more about them!!! :)
