It's Tuesday everyone! I've been a busy bee.
Lately I've done quite a few furniture projects so I have a LOT to share with all of you.
This afternoon, I'll be doing some set design for a photographer that I work with, so I'm sure I'll have some fun stuff to share with you from that as well.
Before, I get started on the project reveal, I wanted to say thank you. I've "met" some incredible people because of this blog. Thank you so much for taking the time to read. It really means so much to me. I hope I add a little inspiration to your day!!!
On to the big project!
This weekend, I went out hunting (shocking, I know) and came across a GREAT dresser.
At first glance, it might not look like much.
It had a lot going for it though, so I took a chance on it. I love the hardware, which you can barely see because it was so badly tarnished. Forty five minutes of polishing took care of that! I really loved the lines of the piece, so I wanted to "redesign" it a bit to highlight them more.
Here's what I came up with....
I felt like the drawers would look beautiful stained a tiny bit darker.
Just look at how those gorgeous brass pulls shined up!!!!
I feel like it's a whole new piece! I'm so thrilled with how it turned out!
I love that the face fronts of the bottom drawers have unique design in the wood as well.
Such a handsome dresser!
What about you?
Have you taken a chance on something to fix up lately?
I would love to hear about it!
Don't forget, I have a GIVE AWAY to announce this week, as well as another project to share!!!
You don't want to miss it!
